The Kite Runner

I thought of sharing with you some information of novels I've read recently. I got them both from Turkey. The one that I really loved is the Kite runner which is a best seller and the first novel of Khaled Hosseini.  It has been made into a film.

I can't express enough how much I enjoyed this novel, it is the kind that you become so involved with it. It brings tears and pain to you, as well as smiles. It has so much reality in it as well. I recommend it to everyone. 

I just bought today the other novel of the same writer, A thousand Splended Suns, which is suppose to be very good as well. 

The other novel that I have read in Turkey is Harem; a journey of love. It is written by Asli Sancar who has done a great deal of research on the subject of harems It is not my type of novels but it did clear so much misunderstandings I had like many others about the Ottoman empire harems, the way it run and the way they are treated.
