Makkah and Kathmandu

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم..

I wanted to share with you pictures of two places I've visited these last two months, Makkah in KSA to perform Umrah, and Kathmandu in Nepal accompanying my hubby for less than two days :).

I've posted something on food of Nepal in my food blog.

Makkah has been a wonderful experience for me. I've been there over four years ago while I was still pregnant with my first child. This time we decided to take the kids, and it was a three days stay. The kids learnt more about their religion, they enjoyed it and had fun. I won't do it again with them till they are grown up and can take care of themselves as it was quite tiring trying to perform the rituals and being conscious not to lost the kids in the crowd.

I went to Kathmandu alone with hubby, and was glad to do so. It is not the cleanest city that you would think of taking kids to or eating outside the hotel. Nevertheless I loved it and think I can revisit Nepal again and see other cities.

ready to go

isn't it beautiful!

Changes

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

This year has been overwhelming. From January, we had been occupied with Middle Eastern changes, rallies, revolutions, people's death and finally the disaster of tsunami that hit Japan. I didn't feel like writing, I stuck my face to the tv following news everywhere and checking internet through my phone only.

I have moved my kids earlier to Oman as we are quite concerned with the unsettled situation in Bahrain. My boy started school there, we looked for a new place to move to in Oman, and I am back to Bahrain with my husband for packing.

I was shocked with the way things have moved to in Bahrain. I pray to Allah that things settle and wise people take things wisely, inshallah. We cannot move freely and feel safe. Nothing is as crucial as safety in any country.....

I have nothing to add for the time being.

Pray for Bahrain, Libya, Yemen, Japan and the whole world for peace and safety...<3
