If only they made use of it in the Middle East instead of relying on an ending source of energy (oil)..

I've seen solar energy being used in Syria before, although it's not very common. I wish people would use wind energy here, esp on the islands, it would make a lot of sense.
Solar or wind energy can be great investment in all aspects, environmentally friendly, cheaper and readily available.
Why wouldn't they make use of it?!
It's all politics I believe :(
